Introduction
The amount of data that systems and devices produce has expanded significantly over the last few years. As a result of this expanding growth, data professionals are influenced by emerging technology, roles, and approaches to dealing with data. Data professionals in many fields want to better understand how these improvements affect both their professions and their regular working activities.
Forms of Data
The available forms of data are text, stream, audio, video, and metadata. Data has been categorized as structured, unstructured, or aggregated.
Structured Data
Data engineers define the structure (schema) for structured databases as they create the data storage in platform technologies such as Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Unstructured Data
Each data element may have its schema at query time for unstructured (NoSQL) databases. Data can be stored in Azure Blob storage as a file or in Azure Cosmos DB or Azure HDInsight as NoSQL data
