Understanding the Cloud
The cloud derives its name from the fact that it operates beyond the physical domain of your computer’s hard drive. It is a massive virtual information bank that stores and maintains data, delivers content and services, and runs applications over the internet.
What Drives a Business to the Cloud?
It is critical to be competitive and innovative, and cloud technology helps you access files faster, comprehend complex data more readily, and provide enhanced security. As a result, more and more companies are moving to the cloud to cut costs, streamline efficiency, and ensure systems and data are available to workers anywhere and everywhere.
According to a 2020 Centrify and CensusWide poll, 43% of organizations surveyed had no plans to fully transition to the cloud till March 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, 48% have streamlined their cloud migration plans, and roughly 36% aim to use cloud technology to digitize more of their processes.
