Keyboard
Laptop keyboards are smaller than standard desktop keyboards. Generally, laptop keyboards include the function keys, alphanumeric keys, and the “system” keys such as “Backspace”, “Enter”, and so forth
Steps for Replacing a Keyboard:
Following are the general steps for replacing a notebook keyboard:
Disconnect the laptop from AC power and remove the battery
Remove the screws that keep the keyboard in place
Turn the laptop upright
Open the screen so that the keyboard is visible
If necessary, remove the bezel that keep the keyboard in place
To expose the keyboard cable, lift up the keyboard
Remove any hold-down devices used to keep the keyboard cable in place
Disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board
Remove the keyboard
